HEAT RESILIENT INFRASTRUCTURE
As climate change leads to rising temperatures, heat-resilient infrastructure is crucial for ensuring buildings and urban environments remain energy-efficient, safe, and comfortable. Many existing structures struggle to cope with extreme heat, resulting in increased energy consumption and costs, especially in urban areas affected by the heat island effect. To tackle these challenges, innovative solutions such as cool roofs, green roofs, and advanced insulation materials are being developed.
🪴 SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
âžµ Gridware, a fast-growing grid-resiliency company in San Francisco, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. You will evaluate and develop novel sensing technologies for their flagship embedded product. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of experience with physical sensing, data acquisition systems, PCB design, and analog circuits. You'll prototype low-power sensing systems, build experimentation infrastructure, and collaborate with data scientists and engineers.
🪴 SENIOR EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER
âžµ Gridware, a fast-growing grid-resiliency company in San Francisco, seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to develop firmware for their microcontroller platform, helping prevent grid-ignited wildfires. You will solve power, communication, and signal processing challenges, develop C++ drivers for sensors, and optimize data processing in resource-limited environments. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of embedded software experience, strong C/C++ knowledge, and are comfortable working across hardware, firmware, and software domains. Experience with Python, Git, Linux, and debugging tools like oscilloscopes is essential.
🪴 SENIOR FULL STACK SOFTWARE ENGINEER
âžµ Gridware, a grid-resiliency company in San Francisco, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop scalable software systems that process real-time data from grid monitoring sensors. You'll work on full-stack development, building systems for device control, observability, and customer-facing features. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of Python backend experience, cloud-based application development (AWS preferred), and proficiency with React, TypeScript, SQL, and observability tools. Experience with event-driven architectures, containerization, and APIs is key.
🪴 SENIOR DATA ENGINEER
âžµ Gridware, a fast-growing grid-resiliency company in San Francisco, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design and optimize data pipelines for real-time grid monitoring systems. You'll handle large-scale sensor data, ensure data integrity, and collaborate with various teams to meet data requirements. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of data engineering experience, proficiency in SQL, Python, big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka), and experience with Databricks and Grafana.
🪴 COMPUTATIONAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER
âžµ We are partnering with a company focused on accelerating the transition to a reliable, decarbonized grid through software solutions for grid operators, utilities, and renewable energy developers. They are seeking a computational software engineer to build cloud-based solutions that streamline grid study processes and accelerate renewable energy deployment. Key skills include Python, C++ (preferred), and experience with high-performance numerical products and cloud environments. Familiarity with power systems and numerical methods is a plus. This hybrid role is based in Pittsburgh, PA.
🪴 COMPUTATIONAL RESEARCH ENGINEER
âžµ We are partnering with a company focused on accelerating the transition to a reliable, decarbonized grid through innovative software solutions. They are seeking a Computational Research Engineer to work closely with the Chief Technologist, designing and prototyping cutting-edge algorithms and approaches for grid optimization and simulation.
