What a year to be in climate!

A lot happened in climate in 2022. We're so glad to have been on this journey with all of you.

🌱 The Inflation Reduction Act: $370 billion in climate spending over the next ten years.
🌱 Climate Funding: 2022 is on pace to outnumber every other year in venture-capital fundraising, especially in climate investing.
🌱 The Great Realignment: CNBC reported that tech workers are quitting great jobs at companies like Google, Twitter, Meta, etc., to fight climate change.

Nuclear fusion is here to stay!

Earlier this month, for the first time, a nuclear fusion experiment resulted in a net energy gain — more energy was produced than was used to power the experiment.This is a massive breakthrough for the climate and a milestone for the future of clean energy.A clean-energy future is, in fact, possible, and this ground-breaking innovation proved that we're on the right track!

Series A Climate FinTech platform is building a super app to address carbon offsets across various banking products (debit cards, saving accounts, rewards programs, green loans and investments, and carbon offset tracking). They recently received their series A funding of over 20M and are hiring two Back End Engineers to work remotely anywhere in the US.

🪴 SENIOR CHEMICAL ENGINEER
We are working with an amazing startup building modular and distributed carbon capture technology that will sequester and convert CO2 on the gigaton scale by installing devices in commercial buildings worldwide. The team is hiring a self-motivated Chemical Engineer to optimize a proprietary polymer sorbent formulation and lead the ongoing scale-up from lab to pilot line manufacturing.

They are eager to get into the climate space and are excited to make a significant impact!

👤🌱 STAFF DATA SCIENTIST CANDIDATE

Scientist, strategist, and community builder. Carrying a Ph.D. in Computer Science was their final academic pursuit before diving into a profession in Data Science. They are deeply passionate about agricultural solutions and have operated in the AgTech space for years. They are a driven leader with interdisciplinary, technical background, and they greatly value mentoring and collaborative team-building.

👤🌱 GLOBAL R&D LEADER CANDIDATE

They are looking to apply themselves in the following spaces: Head of Data Science, Venture (Agtech), Corporate Relationship/Executive Director.

Any ClimateTech startup (but particularly AgTech) that needs the expertise to lead a Data Science team and R&D should be curious about this individual. They have a Ph.D. in Statistical Genetics and managed DS teams amassing 50 employees. They also carry experience working in digital alliances and partnerships (from the last five years working at a Fortune 500 AgTech Organization) with deep connections in the VC world.
